At Brisbane Private our main focus is our patients and providing them with quality healthcare outcomes.
Each year we treat over 20,000 patients with the assistance from our 700 visiting medical officers and our dedicated team of 500 healthcare professionals.
Our 181 bed private hospital is conveniently located at the top of the Wickham Terrace, Brisbane’s busiest medical precinct, in the heart of the CBD.
Our doctors are among Australia’s leaders in research and practice and are committed to providing expert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, rehabilitation, gynaecology and fertility.
Our new building is now open. The old entrance and driveway is now closed and the new driveway for drop-off/pick up zone plus the new entrance corridor directly off Wickham Terrace is now operational.
Please note the new entrance point on ground floor will lead directly to the Admissions/Reception in the main hospital building (level A). This is also where the after-hours swipe card access is located.
Our Concierge and volunteer staff will assist and direct patients upon arrival.
Patients and visitors can access our Specialist Centre undercover paid car park off Birley Street. There is also street parking available within walking distance to the hospital and a Wilson’s car park off Bartley Street.
To ensure the safety of our patients and visitors, parking restrictions will be enforced and there is no standing or parking permitted in the drop off and pick up zone.
Damascus Health Services have now relocated from the Specialist Centre to the new building.

Healthscope has now completed the first stage of the Brisbane Private Hospital master plan which includes the construction of four new theatres and a 26-bed ward. A new four-story building has been constructed on Wickham Terrace and is now connected to the main hospital via a covered walkway.
The first two levels of our new building is now the home for Brisbane Private's drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit, Damascus. The ground floor is reserved for Damascus' day patients while levels one and two is reserved for private inpatient rooms.
Level three of the new building will feature 26 acute surgical beds with a direct link to D Floor of the main hospital, while level four will house 400sqm of consulting suites.
Also included in stage one of the hospital master plan is the redevelopment of the former Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (BOSMC) rooms on level five of the main building. These rooms will be developed into four theatres - two will be fitted out immediately and two will be finalised in line with demand.
