Our hospital
At Brisbane Private our main focus is our patients and providing them with quality healthcare outcomes.
Each year we treat over 20,000 patients with the assistance from our 700 visiting medical officers and our dedicated team of 500 healthcare professionals.
Our 181 bed private hospital is conveniently located at the top of the Wickham Terrace, Brisbane’s busiest medical precinct, in the heart of the CBD.
Our doctors are among Australia’s leaders in research and practice and are committed to providing expert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, rehabilitation, gynaecology and fertility.
In 2017, we saw the completion of our new construction which included a new Specialist Centre; new driveway with new pick up/drop off zone and a new entrance directly off Wickham Terrace. Our main entrance leads directly to the Admissions/Reception area (known as Level A). This is also where the after-hours swipe cards access is located.
The first two levels of this new building is Brisbane Private’s drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit, Damascus.
The ground floor is reserved for Damascus' day patients while levels one and two is reserved for private inpatient rooms. Level three of the new building features 26 acute surgical beds with a direct link to D Floor of the main hospital, while level four houses 400sqm of consulting suites.
Also included in stage one of the hospital master plan was the redevelopment of the former Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (BOSMC) rooms on level five of the main building. These rooms were developed into four theatres - two are now operational and two will be finalised in line with demand.
Our Concierge and volunteer staff are happy to assist and direct patients upon arrival.
To ensure the safety of our patients and visitors, parking restrictions will be enforced and there is no standing or parking permitted in the drop off and pick up zone.
