Matthew Tallis
General Manager

Matthew joined our Executive Team as General Manager in September 2022. He has a Masters of Health Management and a Post-Graduate in Business Innovation in Global Healthcare from Harvard University.

Matthew has a wealth of experience as both a health care executive and clinician. Initially commencing his career as a Physiotherapist, Matthew transitioned to operational and executive roles locally and internationally. He has been the Director of Paediatric Physiotherapy at Mater Children’s Hospital, Director HealthCare at Ernst & Young for the Middle East/North Africa, Divisional Director of Surgery and Perioperative Services and Acting Executive Director of Clinical Services at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining us, Matthew held the role of Chief Operating Officer West Moreton Health Service, the fastest growing health service in Queensland.

Jason Burton
Director of Nursing

Jason joined our Executive team as Director of Nursing in 2016 and has over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare industry. Prior to joining BPH, he held the Director of Nursing role at Gold Coast Surgical Hospital after spending 2 years in the UK as General Manager of Clifton Park Orthopaedic Hospital in York.

Jason has also previously held positions of Assistant Director of Nursing at Greenslopes Private Hospital and Director of Nursing at St Andrews Ipswich Private Hospital.

Karthik Tunki
Finance Manager

Karthik has over 15 years’ of finance and commercial experience. Before joining BPH, Karthik worked at Sunnybank Private and prior to that worked at another Healthscope facility, Darwin Private Hospital.

Prior to joining Healthscope, Karthik held finance roles in variety of industries, working in organisations such as News Corp, Toll Group and Optus.
